Today the world's focus is turning to the services sector and not manufacturing !!
service accounts for nearly 80% of jobs in the US ,However ,Don't count manufacturing out .In our country the service sector importance is still not materialized .still our country is aiming or dreaming of an industrial revolution.
The " we can do better with what we already have " approach is rarely the concept applied to our manufacturing systems,which ,in essence , means improvement of the current systems,processes,methods.....
this problem is mainly attributed to the poor knowledge and understanding of the behaviour of manufacturing systems.
